To implement 2 interdisciplinary courses ("Prison Pedagogy, Techniques for Instruction in Literature for the Prison Population" and "Early New England Communities: Above Ground Archaeology in Deerfield, Salem, Concord, New Haven"). "Prison Pedagogy" course is designed for graduate and advanced undergrad students who intend to work in prisons as teachers and counselors; "New England Communities" is an off-campus course designed to allow first-hand study of the architecture, history, decorative arts, and community plan of 4 well-restored New England towns.
