To produce one pilot film in a series of 6 1/2 hour TV programs entitled "Uses of the Humanities". Programs will consider the roles of literature, art, history, and philosophy in shaping everyday life and ordinary perceptions of the world. Pilot and subsequent programs will be distributed through UN-L's audio-visual facilities and will be available to high schools, colleges, adult education programs, cable systems, and libraries. Programs will be broadcast by Nebraska Educational Television and the Central Educational Network.
