To complete a 2-volume study of 1) Dialectic and Gospel in the Philosophy of Hegel, tracing the development of Hegel's thinking on the cultural and philosophical significance of Christianity from the Writings of the 1790's through the appearance of his Phenomenology in 1807, and of 2) the progressive radicalization of the modern crisis in religious belief and practice among the post-Hegelians, left and right, from 1831 through the revolutions of 1848.
