Study will show how Husserl's careful mapping of the limits of objectifying language is the most effective method for disclosing the temporal style of the life of consciousness. It is only through an encounter with the limits of such language that the ego discovers itself as radically different. This contribution to Husserlian scholar ship will serve to encourage a more fruitful dialogue between phenomenology and the tradition of linguistic analysis.
