To support the activities of the School of Historical Studies of the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton which "brings together both distinguished mature scholars and promising younger ones in the fields of classics, Medieval Studies, art history, Renaissance and modern European history and the history of American thought, to pursue their own work under the double stimulus of association with the School's faculty and other visiting members. This grant provides stipends for a number of visiting members.
