The seminar will deal with the current developments in philosophical anthropology in the historical context of philosophical reflection from medieval "speculative psychology” to modern "problem of the self". Among topics for study are the relationship between biological functioning and socio-historical development and the contribution of philosophical anthropology toward the unification of the human sciences.
