To investigate the relevance of psychological theories and concepts to biographical study of political leaders. The central assumption the seminar is that political roles and careers are significantly affected by unconscious as well as conscious variables. The seminar will explore a variety of behavioral and psychoanalytic theories and their applications to political biography. Psychological and non-psychological biographies of the same individual will be compared and contrasted.
