FAIN: PB-261579-18

Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico, Inc. (San Juan, PR 00925-2207)
Milka Teresa Vigo-Verestin (Project Director: January 2018 to August 2019)

A fogging service for mold remediation while the library is still without power; cleaning, disinfecting, and fogging library collections and air conditioner ducts once power is restored; and the purchase of additional dehumidifiers and preservation supplies to rehouse the collections of the Juan de Valdés Library of the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico that were damaged during Hurricane Maria.

In order to improve the conditions of the Juan de Valdés Library at the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico we will meet the following needs: to clean and disinfect collections and the air conditioner ducts; to purchase  additional dehumidifiers, and; to purchase record storage boxes to best preserve our historical collections.  Although it is not considered as part of the budget and consultant fees in the application, we will seek the opportunity to participate in meetings, workshops and library evaluations that will be offered by Task Force group from Heritage Emergency National Task Force (FEMA), among others, that will be offered to libraries and cultural institutions in Puerto Rico that were affected by hurricanes Irma and María.
