To complete an annotated translation of Vol 8 of the ten—volume Travel Journal of Evliya Celebi, an Ottoman Turk of the 19th century. The Journal touches on every aspect of life in the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean lands from 1640-80. Vol. 8 deals with Evliya Celebi's journey through Greece. When possible, the notes will include photographs and physical descriptions of every Ottoman monument mentioned.
