To prepare for publication definitive dictionaries for ten Alaskan Indian and Eskimo languages, several of which are close to extinction- No accurate dictionary now exists for any of these languages. Funds are needed to enable research staff to organize and edit present data collections into a form suitable for use by both scholars and speakers of the languages.
