General operating support for state or territorial humanities council

To support public programs in the humanities through regrants to institutions and organizations in Alabama. The committee plans to address itself to three primary concerns: programming in rural areas of the state, participation by organized labor and projects sponsored by statewide organizations. The committee will retain its theme of "Priorities and Human Values in a changing Alabama."
