As we, the people of the Virgin Islands, continue our quest for self-determination by preparing for another constitutional convention in 2006, it is critical that our citizens are educated about issues that advance their understanding of self-determination. To deepen public awareness, valuable information will be disseminated to targeted groups: school age youth, adults, and grassroots community. To this end, the Virgin Islands Humanities Council is requesting $30,980 in order to plan and sponsor a “We the People” web page, a Virgin Islands Chautauqua Series, a lecture and panel discussion. |
