The aim of this project is to complete a book that clarifies and defends Wittgenstein’s distinctively anti-theoretical view of the nature of philosophical problems, how they should be addressed, and what can thereby be accomplished. I argue that this perspective (rather than his account of meaning) is the key to a proper understanding of his discussions of experience, language, arithmetic, knowledge, and other matters.
