Implementation of a series of scholar-led film and reading and discussion programs at 50 libraries around the nation examining the military, social, and political history of the United States during the World War I era.

National Video Resources seeks to implement a 6-week program of scholar-led lectures, documentary film screenings, readings and discussions on the U.S. during the WWI era. Participants in 50 libraries will explore and discuss America's entry into the War under the leadership of President Wilson; the combat experience and modern warfare; the impact of the War “at home”; Wilson's struggle to create the League of Nations; and the turbulent years following the War. Participating libraries will receive the videotapes in the series, a guide to presenting the program, scholar written essays and bibliographies with corresponding folders, promotional materials, access to the project list-serve, and training through a two-day workshop.
