The Alden House Historic Site is seeking a consultation grant to explore the feasibility of and lay the groundwork for the re-creation of the first Duxbury Alden house (1629). Cooperating with Plimoth Plantation, the Alden House Site staff will erect a structure that can be used in conjuction with the existing 1650s house museum to more fully interpret the Alden family's uninterrupted occupancy - as well as the regional social and cultural changes that occurred between 1629 and 1920. |
