The National Civil Rights Museum will contract with Amigos Library Services to conduct a preservation assessment of the museum’s audio-visual collections, specifically our collection of moving images. The assessment will produce recommendations for the following: § Short-term actions to improve storage conditions including physical plant recommendations and management of limited storage space. § Equipment and software recommendations for optimal documentation and preservation of audio-visual collections § Long-term plan for refreshment of media types, long-term storage recommendations Three members of the museum’s collections management staff will attend two training sessions between January 2006 and June 2007. |
