Graduate education in the conservation of art and material culture collections. Stipends would be provided for up to three students each year.

The Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, requests funding from NEH to support Conservation Training for Preservation and Access in order to strengthen our premier graduate level program that trains the next generation of conservators. Conservators play a critical role in the preservation and access of our cultural property, such as objects, collections, specimens, structures or sites identified as having artistic, historic, scientific, religious or social significance. We now seek support over two years for Conservation Training for Preservation and Access directed toward providing financial aid for three Conservation students during each year of the grant period and supporting adjunct faculty and guest lecturers, for leading courses and presenting on a variety of topics relevant to current practices and topical issues, often open to the larger community.
