Materials to be rehoused include photographs, maps, oral histories, newspapers, and documents dealing with the exploration, settlement, and development of this region.
With the proposed Preservation Assistance Grant, the Powell Museum will purchase collection preservation supplies and furniture recommended by consultants, to properly care for specific archival humanities collections. The purpose of the project is to preserve the collections of the Powell Museum for future generations, to develop necessary documents to properly care for and maintain museum collections, and to make collections easily accessible for museum staff, volunteers, and the public. |
