The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) requests a Preservation Assistance Grant for a general preservation assessment of its diverse historical collections, which are managed by the GFWC's Women's History and Resource Center (WHRC), which collects, preserves, interprets, and promotes the history of the GFWC and women volunteers. The assessment will provide a review of existing policies, procedures, exhibit and storage spaces, and environmental conditions, and recommend short-term, mid-term, and long-range goals for developing a comprehensive collections management program to improve preservation of and access to the collections. |
