To combine related courses into carefully integrated interdisciplinary units or "sequences." The program develops critical thinking in both the faculty and students by drawing relationships among various subject materials and by clarifying the relationship among the ways of knowing of various academic disciplines. An important objective is to develop a course pattern that encourages integration without introducing a new core.
