To enable MWC to 1) restructure its own curriculum through the institution of core courses and a continuing faculty; 2) introduce undergraduate courses in Yiddish studies; 3) to initiate an advanced Yiddish Studies Institute to be held each summer in conjunction with a colloquium for advanced graduate students and college teachers to be devoted to problems both of teaching and researching the Yiddish language, literature and culture.
