To create a new liberal arts program of courses designed to relate the substance and the method of the humanities disciplines to the issues and concerns of five professional fields: Medicine and Health Center, Law, Engineering, Business Administration, and the Graduate school. Courses in each discipline will create a nucleus of courses from which professionally-oriented undergraduates may later choose to explore in depth.
