This conference creates a forum that will permit scholars to engage in a cross-national and cross-disciplinary dialogue on the Portugese diaspora. All comparative and interdisciplinary forms of the Portugese-speaking diaspora (Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe) are included: sociological, economic, political, literary, linguistic, historical, cultural and others. The conference has signficant contigents of scholars from Brazil, The United States, Canada and Portugal.
