To develop curriculum and to train personnel in Latin American heritage studiesthrough 2 conferences and a summer workshop designed to introduce the subject on the 2-year college level.

To remedy the lack of personnel trained in community college education and Latin American culture studies through curriculum development and training in collaboration between the University of Texas and the State's many two-year community and junior colleges.
