To fund an Indonesian Studies Institute which will offer graduate-level, instruction in a variety of disciplines (mainly languages and literature) during summer programs. Participants will include teachers, who want to offer students a broader foundation; students, who are planning to conduct research on Indonesia; foreign service officers; and faculty employed by the government or foundations to conduct projects in Indonesia. Evaluation of student progress and project effectiveness will be done at the end of each session.
