Steve Curry (Project Director: November 1977 to October 1990)

To offer two interdisciplinary courses previously developed. Basic learning goals are to develop a strong sense of the relationship between humanistic activities and the social and political environment in which they occur and to help students develop critical and synthetic thinking skills applicable to a broader range of study. Pilot courses will be "The Black Experience in the 1960's and 1970's'' and "Madness. “ Courses will be taught in weekly lectures and twice-weekly small discussion groups. Cognitive skills tests will be administered before and after the courses have run to determine effectiveness. Two outside consultants will review course content.
