Asian Humanities Sequence and East-West Faculty Seminar

To pilot a two-semester course sequence tying together the most significant cultural watersheds of India, Southeast Asia, China and Japan. Literature, arts, thought, religion, music, dance and theater would be taught in 2 hours of lecture and 4 hours of discussion each week. Faculty seminars will be held concurrently, giving public presentations four times yearly on topics of general interest. Evaluation will be conducted by all participants, the Department of Integrated Studies, and two outside consultants.
