To establish Core Program courses in the humanities which will integrate the arts into the students' education; in addition to teaching a coherent world view, it is hoped that these courses will help students develop their ability to analyze and synthesize knowledge. Courses will be structure along chronological and thematic lines. Symposia as well as lecture courses will be offered. Evaluation will consist of results from standardized testing administered as students enter and leave college.
