Pilot Courses for M. A. in Liberal Study

FAIN: EP-*1240-78

Ohio University (Athens, OH 45701-1361)
Warren Ruchti (Project Director: February 1978 to October 1990)

The College of Arts and Sciences of Ohio University will develop and offer 10 pilot courses in a new graduate program which would lead to the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS). The purpose of the MALS program is to offer mature students an interdisciplinary graduate degree which would differ from others now offered at Ohio University in that it is not intended to train students for a particular vocation, to provide them accrediting for a profession Or to prepare them for further graduate study. All courses will be interdisciplinary and most will be team taught.
