To enable the Departments of Art, Music, and Theatre and Dance at SUNY Plattsburgh to develop an interdisciplinary approach to teaching humanistic values through the fine arts. They will develop, offer, and evaluate a pilot, one semester, introductory course, integrating the histories and perspective of each of the fine and performing arts. The course will aim to integrate the history of several art forms to present a unified, total picture not only of the era's art, but of the era itself.
