To establish a formal program in ethnohistory. Daring the pilot year, the scope of interdepartmental workshops will be expanded, two new team-taught courses will be introduced on an experimental basis, a course review will take place, an advising system established and research aids developed. Courses will be offered primarily as graduate training, but will be open to upper-level undergraduates as well.
