The foreign language faculty of Leeward Community College will seek to: a) improve instruction in the existing foreign language/culture experiences with language learning, and by providing students with regular personal contact with natives of the target language/culture; b) better meet the needs of native or creole speakers of foreign language; c)better use the unique linguistic and cultural resources available in the multi-ethnic Leeward community; and, d) better meet the needs of the extended community by providing special courses and programs for those desiring language skills.
