A project to prepare an existing high school curriculum in semiotics for use in other schools and to install this curriculum in local high schools. Two-teacher teams from each of 13 member school systems in Education Collaborative for Greater Boston will be invited to participate in a 6-week summer workshop, taking the semiotics course they have chosen to teach and observing the project director teach the course to students in the summer school. Special texts and equipment will be developed.
