To support additional activities of the Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute aided by external matching funds.

To establish a model collaborative institute of university/ secondary/elementary teachers for curriculum development in English, History and Art History. 60-80 New Haven middle/ high school teachers, 6 Yale faculty. Results to be disseminated through brochures, reports, articles in journals and magazines. Shared funding with the Hazen Foundation, Yale, and New Haven Board of Education.
