The Russian Revolution of 1905

To examine in depth the Russian Revolution of 1905, beginning with a study of the domestic repercussions to the Russo-Japanese War in 1904 and ending with an account of Stolypin's coup d'etat of 1907 which marked the final triumph of the autocracy over the opposition. The Revolution of 1905 is significant because it differed from any other revolution in Europe during the 18th and 19th centuries, and foreshadowed convulsions that have taken place in various underveloped countries in recent years.
