Theory of Translation and Persona

To undertake a systematic investigation of the theory of translation and persona. The P.I. maintains that the questions of how translated texts are modified and transformed by authorial personality and how original authors create their fictions are essentially interrelated. The project will present a short history of translation theory, a discussion of literary models, and it will examine examples of ways translators have converted their material.
