To undertake a comprehensive study of the united realms of Catalonia and Aragon under the count-kings Alphonse II (1162-96) and Peter II (1196-1213). The project will stress the prosperity, social dynamism and institutional consolidation of the later 12 cent., and will end with the collapse of the dynasty's transpyrenean politics at Peter's death.
