To attempt to clarify the development of traditions in the philosophy of science between the scholastic period and the 16th and 17th centuries. Major emphasis falls on such transitional figures as William of Ockham, Jean Burdian, Nicole Oresme, Thomas Bradwardine, and William of Heytesbury.
