To undertake an analysis of the extent to which neo-classical economics in particular, and economic theory, in general, have come to be dominated by positivism despite the large normative content of those theories. The goal would be a paper which assesses the state of knowledge in the philosophy of science and applies that assessment to the work of economic philosophers.
