The Family in Eighteenth Century New York

To investigate family patterns within the 18th century New York City Reformed Dutch community. It will be based on the analysis of data from church records, land conveyances, etc., pertaining to the 602 couples married in NYC Dutch Reformed churches and their families. Comparisons will be made between these families experiences and those of rural and town communities.
