To continue the study of the W.G. & G.W. Ewing trading company that operated from 1827 to 1865, originating in Fort Wayne, Ind. it eventually came to dominate much of the lower Missouri river and at one point traded in Santa Fe. The Ewing brothers held a significant position in the Indian trade and the study will examine the question of their business ethics and influences on Indian policy.
