To begin the first draft of a monograph dealing with Thomas Aquinas's theory of perception. PI will examine Aquinas's account of the external senses. PI suggests that Aquinas, in his account of the vis cogitativa which enables Aquinas to account for the perception of individuals as individuals of a kind and merely as bundles of sensations on the standard empiricist model, provides an almost Kantian account.
