To complete a book-length study of social movements in the colonial Maghrib (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia). Among the movements studied will be banditry, urban rioting, jacqueries, millenarian uprisings and anti- foreign disturbances. Will be a short book for the general reader which will place North African social movements in the wider perspective of Third World rebellions in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
