The Charlottesville Forum on the Public Humanities

This is supplemental funding on NEH Award GI-234633-15 for
the Charlottesville Forum on the Public Humanities that will mark the 50th
anniversary of the NEH in September 2016. Over the past year, a committee of
UVA faculty and NEH staff has been designing the event, identifying and
inviting appropriate participants, selecting venues, and setting up a plan of
action for the multiple events that are planned as part of the forum.
Specifically, this funding will support a half-day event of panels, discussions
and performances being held at Monticello.
