Haitian Art-Interpretive and Community Programming

To provide serious, thoroughly researched community programs which will augment the Brooklyn Museum's Haitian art exhibit. Programs will include gallery talks, films, lectures, and a public forum; an intern program for college students serving the community; and organization of collaborative programs with the Haitian and West Indian communities in New York City. The influence of history, religion, and the social roles of artists will be the main focus for programs.
