A Study of Public Library Collections in the Humanities

A study to estimate the extent of U.S. public library holdings in the humanities by selecting a random sample of twenty libraries stratified by size of population served so as to represent the known distribution of all public libraries' book collections. Study should get 6,200 titles which will then be checked in five or six bibliographies. The resulting data will be analyzed in several different ways.
