...An Examination of Urbanization in the Pacific Northwest To generate a series of maps over a period of time, which will show changes in land-use patterns and residential charactersics of neighborhoods in Portland, Oregon during the city's urbanization (ca. 1900-1930). To interpret those changes in light of the response within the community to them, including analyses of neighborhoods in transition with regard to local intitutions, such as clubs, churches, schools.
