To involve local youths in activities leading towards an understanding of the history, values, attitudes, skills and social institutions associated with the use of natural resources.

To involve some 2,800 participants in learning about the humanities in order to gain an improved understanding of history, values, and attitudes associated with the use of renewable natural resources; and to encourage these participants to apply these experiences to personal decisions.
