To involve Hispanic youth in a performance which will demonstrate the role of the humanities in understanding urban problems.

To bring 4 humanities scholars together with Hispanic youth in the Pasadena area to produce and updated version if "El Maleficio de la Mariposa" by Frederico Garcia Lorca. The play will be presented to about 2,000 youths in the area.
