To support a pilot project in which Shelby County, TN youth, ages 13-18, will interview and tape record the memoirs of elderly residents, focusing on traditional customs, tales, and sayings. A folklore pamphlet will be produced, and the audiotapes will be made available through the Memphis Public Library.
